Proximity - Where I work we get a lot of bottles of all shapes and size in all sorts of colors.
Repetition (emphasis on similarity) - Every year we put on a bicycle swap were we take in bicycles that are no longer used or outgrown and fix them up to give away to anyone who wants a bicycle.
Repetition (emphasis on variety) - This walkway is unbelievably intricate all the different colors forming the patterns.
Continuation - I think this wall kind of drags your focus from right to left to see where it goes.
The grid as organizing factor - grid-work or wire-frame allows me greater flexibility, more points of reference to keep my subject aligned and smaller areas to focus on.
An example of a chaotic, unreadable image - I consider fractal art as a good example of a chaotic image
